“It’s Valentines!” They both screamed. They have been patiently waiting and planning for this day. Curating gifts and sweet messages for one another. A surprise for the significant other. Anyone in love always looks forward to Valentines because it’s the official day to show and express love. These two were excited and wanted to spend every hour of the day professing their love to each other. 12:00 am their phones beeped for messages. It was the Valentines special. He composed a message describing how beautiful she is. He wrote in it the things he loves and cherishes about her. While reading his message, she was blushing and almost turning pink. Her grin was so wide. She read his text over and over again because it was unbelievable. Then over to his side, he opened her message and burst into tears. Yes, a full grown man was in awe of his woman’s message. He cried tears of joy. It felt like he had just met her again for the very first time. His love for her was renewed. Fast forward, to their plan for the day. They had a reservation in a big, calm and serene restaurant. He sent her roses and a long red dress right before their date. At this point, her cheeks were already aching from smiling too hard. She had her makeup and hair done. Wore her dress and set out for the venue. She met her Prince Charming waiting for her at their table. He was in a black tuxedo with a clean haircut. She smiled at the first glance but she looked around and found no one else except two of them. Our Valentine princess asked her prince why it was just two of them in the restaurant. He had no answer to the question because he thought the same. No one at all. The waiter, guests, security were all absent. They were curious. They wanted to know why their restaurant had no one except both of them. It was time to find out what the problem is. They took a walk around the restaurant and still no one. They went outside and the result was the same. They took a decision to walk further if they would find anyone around but instead they bumped into bodies. I mean dead bodies! Everyone was dead on Valentines except these lovers. They were frightened and in great shock as to why it was just both of them alive and why it had to happen on that day; what started off as a beautiful day turned out to be a nightmare. They both found out they only had each other to live with.
